Do You Want a Portuguese Water Dog? | Photos, Breeds, Cost and Price

Do you want to have a Portuguese Water Dog? Or, are you looking for its costs or price and breeds? And maybe, you are searching for some of its photos too.

Well, this is the right place for you! I got a lot of information about a Portuguese Water Dog that will fill your needs. All you need to do is to read through the article or bookmark this page, or just take some notes so you wont forget those things! Hehehe.

Portuguese Water Dog:

A Portuguese Water Dog is a working dog that is bred to work off the fishing boats of Portugal, of course! As you may see in the picture below, it looks like a fluff ball, but a very good swimmer.

List of works done by a Portuguese Water Dog:
* taking out fishing nets
* couriering messages between boats
* herding fish
* moving buoys in the water
* guarding the boat against seals who were trying to steal fish from the boats

Also, this breed were intelligent and very friendly. They are loyal to their owners and can be your guardian, but still you need to take care of your socks! LOL!

How much do they cost? According to a Portuguese Water Dog website:
"Prices will normally start at about $1400 US. However, be warned - do your research well. $1400 can buy you a great dog. $1400 can also buy you a not so great dog. Don't expect to pay less for a "pet" than you would a "show" puppy. Both cost the same to raise, and both should have fabulous temperaments.

In any case, most breeders will not let you breed from your pup, unless you follow strict terms and conditions. This is to protect the integrity of the breed. After all, we don't want the PWD dropping in quality like so many of the other breeds around the world, because of indiscriminate and uneducated breeding."

Did you get it? Hehehe. This thing is so expensive, you know! So better consider things first, your pocket!

Here are some photos of it:

Ok, Thats all! Thanks to you!
